First blog as a FAMILY
I've had blogs before, but never one about my family life...and now that I have a family, I thought it was time. Unfortunately, this is the last family picture we took...I think Nolan was maybe 2 months old. We need to get better at that! Well, it's the end of October here in Washington and its almost 9am and STILL dark outside. I don't think I would ever get used to the Pacific Northwest, I am glad we are moving. I'm trying to get things together, since we will be leaving here in about six weeks...I don't think I'm taking many of our belongings, hopefully I can sell our couches, washer and dryer, coffee table and end tables before we leave. We're excited for Halloween together, it's more fun when you have a little one, although he has no idea why he's dressed as a raccoon, haha. He'll get it when he's older. We are going to "Trunk or Treat" tonight at Eric's batallion, so that should be fun for us and hopefully Nolan too (he will be out past his bed time) I'll hopefully have some good pictures to post. This process of ETSing from the Army is a long one....Eric of course procrastinated it so now he's jamming everything in to such a short amount of time. I am staying here as long as I can to help with everything so that when Eric leaves, all he has to do is hand the keys to our house in (hopefully) I will be flying home on December 12, because we will be having a late birthday party for Nolan on the 16th. Then Eric will be driving home a few days later once he is all cleared to go. My cousin Jenny, who lives in Seattle was going to drive back with him since it is the middle of winter and that is dangerous to do by yourself, but he is getting out later then he thought so now she is not able to...since she does have a career and all. ha! But, a few people have told me that the Army will ship your car back, and if that's the case, I would be ecstatic! So we shall see, it is pretty hectic around here trying to figure out all of this out processing and then having the Holidays coming up and still trying to budget as best we can. Hopefully it's all smooth sailing =]
